I believe in a divine origin.  Do you?  Why are we here, on this earth, at this time?  I believe this scripture will give a guide to answer those questions.

“And God saw these souls that they were good, and he stood in the midst of them, and he said: These I will make my rulers; for he stood among those that were spirits, and he saw that they were good; and he said unto me: Abraham, thou art one of them; thou wast chosen before thou wast born. And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell; And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will doall things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them;” -Abraham 3:23-25

I am in the process of talking with my Heavenly Father,through prayer, my specific mission to perform here on Earth.  However, I do understand why we are all here.  The reason is simple-to become like our Heavenly Father.  I sit here and think quite a bit about the great Plan of Salvation.  Why are we here?  Where were we before we were born?  What happens to us after death?  So many things to find answers to.  I don’t see a reason to know any of them without understanding first this idea, we chose to be here!  God presented us with a plan, the Plan of Salvation or Plan of Happiness and He asked us if we wanted to be a part of it.  Those of us in mortal bodies accepted it and those who were did not want to follow it did not receive a body. We chose to be here to become like our Father in Heaven.

How great is it to think we are the reason God designed this plan and created the Earth for us to carry out His plan?  I love that idea and I am all for it.  I believe I raised my had immediately and said Father let’s do this!  The Plan of Salvation rests upon the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Christ is the One who gives us the ability to become as He and God are, Complete! So, what are we supposed to do? I don’t have that answer for every individual, but I will say this.  God is a loving Father who wants His glory to one day be our glory.  We can and will one day have the joy He has.  We are here to find ourselves within the Plan of Happiness. We get to choose for ourselves what path to follow and work through this wonderful mortal existence.  We get to fight, make peace laugh, cry, hate, love, smile, frown,create, destroy, lose, win, lose, live and die here on Earth!  This life is HARD but it’s in no way a fluke or for no reason.  Nor is it impossible.

We have all the help already. We are not alone.  Not only do we have Christ who encompasses our eternal progress, we were born with innate characteristics that will help orient our footsteps, the only thing is we need to choose to follow them.  I am thankful for this plan as opposed to the one Satan wanted.  A plan where we had no choice and no room to progress.  I feel this divine power within me, it wants to get out!  I love how absolutely beautiful it is to have a Father in Heaven.  I feel like I know Him and I can feel Him in my life.  I am working through this life but the simple thought of why I’m here keeps me going and close to God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.  I ask Why me?  And I remember because He loves me! It’s my responsibility if I want to achieve Godhood.  So as I chose before I came there, I am choosing to make every day count towards my eternal progression.
